Silver for the International Seaport’s Opening Ceremony in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan! This high-profile performance won silver in the area of Opening/ Celebration/ Festivity Event at the BEA World (International Festival of Events and Live Communication).Months of hard effort paid off. The celebration of the new port’s opening was broadcast on various national TV stations and performed for the president of Turkmenistan, selected government officials, and invited VIP guests. This is a significant production emphasizing the reactivation of an ancient trade and commerce gateway, which marks Turkmenistan’s return to its historic significance as a strategic center in the global logistical system.

LED Magic of Traditions

Over 100 performers were immersed by special video content reflecting the history of a country with a rich contribution to the Silk Road legend in this one-of-a-kind multifaceted media production. Specially designed LED kinetic cubes along with featured kinetic LED light rod installation, sought after by recording artists Drake and Jennifer Lopez, wrapped up the performance for a spectacular finale.

Ancient to Modern

Alex Burgos was entrusted to create a visually immersive storytelling performance representing the country's traditions and innovations, as written, and inspired by the Turkmen president's most recent work on a historical journey across Asia's legendary Silk Road. It ranges from ancient artifacts and extraordinary ruins foregone to modern times.
